Volunteer Areas of Interest
1. VNA Companion
Description: Provide direct patient/family contact and assist with administrative tasks. Join the Friendship Circle or work in our Lifestyle/Wellness kitchen.
Primary Functions:
- Patient Support: Engage with patients and families.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with office work and confidential information.
- Friendship Circle: Participate in monthly gatherings with patients and staff.
When: Flexible hours.
2. Administrative Volunteer
Description: Offer clerical support in various capacities, with or without client contact.
Primary Functions:
- Office Support: Handle phone calls, paperwork, and data entry.
- Client Interaction: May include general client contact or back-office tasks.
When: Flexible hours during office hours.
3. Community Events Volunteer
Description: Assist with short-term, special community events.
Primary Functions:
- Event Support: Help with planning and running community events.
- Community Engagement: Assist with general event activities and outreach.
When: Based on event schedules.
4. Health Education Volunteer
Description: Educate the community on health topics through workshops and events.
Primary Functions:
- Workshops: Lead or assist with health education sessions.

- Clinic Support: Help with patient check-ins, room preparations, and supplies.

8. Volunteer Medical Interpreter
Description: Provide language interpretation for patients and staff.
Primary Functions:
- Interpretation: Facilitate communication between patients and medical professionals.
When: Based on appointment schedules.
9. Grounds Maintenance Volunteer
Description: Help maintain outdoor spaces, including landscaping and snow removal.

- Landscaping: Gardening, planting, and general maintenance.
- Snow Removal: Clear snow from walkways and parking areas.
