Come help build, serve on a committee, run our ReStore, assist in fundraising events, or donate materials. We welcome you as an individual or as a group.
Every volunteer hour moves a family closer to homeownership
Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to volunteer at Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley! Those ages 16 and 17 need to volunteer alongside a parent/legal guardian and sign the e-signed youth waiver prior to volunteering.

ReStore Volunteer Opportunities
Our two Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley ReStores (Elgin & Arlington Heights) rely on volunteers for a wide variety of tasks including clerical, receiving donations, processing items to sell and assisting customers. Corporations and Teams
Every team builds a home and itself
Thank you for your interest in corporate volunteering. Many businesses recognize the short- and long-term benefits of taking employees outside the walls of the office, and into the volunteer space.
Whether this is your first company volunteer event, or you’re a seasoned pro, Habitat provides a fun, easy and engaging experience. We’re in the business of building safe, affordable housing, and would love to work with you.
Research has shown that employees prefer to work for companies invested in charitable causes, and volunteering is a terrific way to facilitate that need at a relatively low cost to you.
A corporate build day can be reserved for 6-10 volunteers on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday throughout the year. Team builds start at 8:30 run till around 4:00. We supply tools, safety gear, and the instruction to make your day productive, enjoyable, and safe, you supply the enthusiasm.
