YWCA Elgin Now Accepting Pre-Registrations for Free English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes

Elgin, IL – June 17, 2025 – YWCA Elgin is now accepting pre-registrations for its upcoming session of free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. These classes are designed to help adults improve their English skills for work, education, and everyday life, and they’re available in flexible formats to meet a variety of needs.

Classes begin in late August or September and are offered online or in-person, with morning and evening options available. Instruction is delivered by qualified ESL teachers, and all students must complete a required placement test before starting class.


Classes are held at two convenient locations:

- YWCA Elgin, 220 E. Chicago Street, Elgin, IL 60120

- Fox River Valley Libraries – Dundee Library, 555 Barrington Ave., East Dundee, IL 60118
