Elgin, IL – June 17, 2025 – YWCA Elgin has officially released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a qualified Strategic Planning Consultant to guide the organization through the development of a two-year strategic plan. This initiative marks a key step in shaping the future of one of Elgin’s longest-standing nonprofits, focused on eliminating racism, empowering women, and serving the diverse needs of the community since 1901.

The selected consultant will collaborate with YWCA Elgin’s Board of Directors, staff, and community stakeholders to evaluate the organization’s programs, operations, and long-term priorities. The process will emphasize equity, sustainability, and measurable impact.

Key Dates:

- Proposals Due: June 27, 2025

- Consultant Selected: July 22, 2025

- Project Kickoff: August 1, 2025

The final strategic plan is expected to be completed by December 2025.

YWCA Elgin encourages proposals from women-identifying, BIPOC-led, LGBTQIA+, and local Elgin-based consulting firms. The total project budget is not to exceed $7,500.
