Elgin Offers Yard Signs to Support a Safe Independence Day

4th July Signs

Starting Monday, June 23, the city of Elgin is offering free yard signs to promote safe and respectful holiday celebrations throughout the community.

Three unique signs, available in English and Spanish are designed to remind residents that fireworks are illegal and the negative effects they can have on veterans, pets and your neighbors.

A limited number of signs are available and can be picked up Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Elgin City Hall, 150 Dexter Ct.
  • Elgin Police Department, 151 Douglas Ave.

There is a limit of one sign per home.
