City of Elgin Parks and Recreation Seeks Community Input for Wing Park Improvements
The City of Elgin Parks and Recreation Department invites residents to participate in shaping the future of Wing Park. As part of the adopted 2023 Master Plan, the department is planning to enhance park amenities with support from the Open Space Land Acquisition and Development Grant.
Community feedback has played a crucial role in the development of the concept plan, which will be presented for viewing at the Wing Park Bandshell on Thursday, August 1st. The event will be held from noon to 2 PM and from 5 PM to 7 PM. The meeting will follow an open house format, allowing residents to drop in at their convenience to view the plans and provide feedback.
The Elgin Parks and Recreation Department emphasizes the importance of community involvement in the success of these improvements. By attending the open house, residents will have the opportunity to review the plans and share their thoughts, helping to create a space that reflects the community's needs and desires.
