For the 12th straight year, Site Selection Magazine has named the Chicago region the top metropolitan area in the US for business site selection and corporate relocation.

Better yet, the magazine cited the Greater Chicagoland Economic Partnership as one of the main reasons. Now in its third year, GCEP unites Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will counties, and the City of Chicago, into an alliance to promote regional economic development and enhance our collective participation in the global economy.

"The key to maintaining Site Selection’s Tier 1 Top Metros No. 1 rank for 12 years in a row? It came down to removing competition between surrounding counties so that everyone can work as a unified team to draw in fresh business to the Chicago-Naperville-Elgin metro region," the article states.

Site Selection Magazine, according to its website, publishes information to help business expansion planners make informed decisions.
