About the Role

YWCA Elgin is seeking an experienced Strategic Planning Consultant to lead a collaborative, equity-focused strategic planning process. This two-year strategic plan will guide the organization’s mission-driven growth, program direction, and long-term sustainability.

The selected consultant will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and community partners to assess current operations, gather stakeholder input, and develop actionable goals aligned with the YWCA’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women.

Scope of Services

- Lead and manage a structured planning process

- Conduct organizational assessments and stakeholder engagement

- Facilitate strategic prioritization and financial forecasting

- Support goal-setting, metrics, and planning milestones

- Lead a Board retreat and present final strategic plan

Desired Qualifications

- Proven experience with nonprofit strategic planning

- Knowledge of or ties to Elgin or similar communities

- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

- Experience engaging multi-ethnic and multilingual populations

- Strong facilitation and communication skills

- Women-identifying, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+–led or owned firms are encouraged to apply
