POSITION OVERVIEW

Primary responsibilities include emptying office trash & recycling cans, cleaning and restocking the washrooms, dust and wet mop floors, vacuum carpets, clean walls and windows, other general housekeeping assignments. Duties may include preparation and tear down of event related equipment including chairs, tables, staging, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• This is medium work requiring the exertion of 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Work requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping; visual acuity is required for reading, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, operation of machines, and operation of motor vehicles or equipment
• Work is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and oils.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the position.
• Applicants must pass a background investigation, criminal history record check and drug test.
• Applicants must be capable of receiving and understanding written and verbal instruction in English.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The hours for this position are based on our event schedule and will take place primarily on evenings and weekends. Duties can include pre & post show cleaning of the 1,200 seat theatre and related dressing room areas, 11,300 ft² Exhibition Hall, eight public restrooms, four dressing area restrooms, lobbies and public areas. Some set-up and strike of event equipment such as table and chairs is also involved. There will also be periodic projects such as window washing, deep cleaning areas, etc. Hours may include being on-site during events.
