JOB SUMMARY:
The Document Control Specialist ensures the organization adheres to ISO and IATF standards by
managing, maintaining, and updating all necessary documentation. This role is critical for
supporting compliance, improving quality processes, and facilitating audits.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Document Management:
Develop, maintain, and control all ISO and IATF-related documentation, including
manuals, procedures, work instructions, forms and records.
Ensure all documents are current, approved, and accessible to authorized personnel.
Manage document change requests and revisions to maintain alignment with regulatory
and operational requirements.
Update MRM (Management Review Meeting) presentation and co-ordinate with
departments regarding KPI (Key Process Indicators) reporting.
Update KPIs throughout the plant monthly.
Compliance Support:
Collaborate with departments to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and
other applicable standards.
Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documents and support.
Conduct periodic reviews of documents to ensure they meet standard requirements.
Frequent use of KPA software.
Training and Communication:
Train employees on document control processes and compliance requirements.
Communicate updates or changes to relevant parties and ensure understanding of
compliance practices.
Audit Readiness and Reporting:
Maintain audit trails for all document updates and changes.
Prepare documentation and records for internal and third-party audits.
Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate document control processes and implement improvements to
enhance efficiency and compliance.
Support cross-functional teams in identifying and addressing documentation gaps.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with document control software and tools (e.g., Windows, Word, Excell, Power
point, SharePoint and/or any QMS software).
Effective communication and training skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate or bachelor’s degree, CQA/CQE, Certified Auditor or related experience in position
or processes preferred.
Minimum 2 years in a document control or quality department role, preferably in an
automotive and/or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with ISO 9001/IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and/or AIAG Core Tools.
