Boutique ad agency in Elgin is searching for a creative, fun, web developer/web designer for in-house full-time work. We are looking for that needle in a haystack that can spot a typo from 100 yards, leap tall deadlines in a single bound, work hard and fast and know their stuff. Our agency has over 100 clients that want their websites, landing pages, sales funnels and SEO to bring them work. Are you up to the task? The Advenger team wants YOU.

Qualifications:

We are looking for AT LEAST 5 years’ experience in a fast paced, deadline sweating job where you have loved every 404 error, attempted hack, missing link, and half built responsive site. We will need to see some amazing websites in WordPress that include great security features. SEO integration is a required skill along with the Google suite of SEO programs. The ability to troubleshoot website issues and work through past built sites (Divi Builder and others) is a superpower we need you to have. App development is a plus as the boss loves them. Adobe Suite product knowledge is necessary. We want to learn cool tricks from you as much as we want to teach you cool tricks and programs. Also, A HUGE PLUS Google Ad Words and Google Analytics certifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

If you get this totally rad job, you will be expected to, play ping pong on the conference room table, work directly with clients and project managers on responsive websites, WordPress templates, and more. You will register client websites, add landing pages, create sales funnels, and register and manage websites and passwords. But wait there is more! You will program small website applications in WordPress, update WordPress websites, draw all over our write on wipe off table, and maybe, have a field trip or two for video and photo shoots.

We want creative thinkers that can interpret client's business needs and develop concepts, estimate time required to complete work, design creative briefs, produce quality work, use innovation to redefine a creative brief within the constraints of cost and time and work with a wide range of media. Qualifications and Skills

Bachelors degree in Graphic Design UX/UI Web Design. 5+ years’ experience in similar ad agency environment. Adobe Creative Suites proficient and FAST. Word Press certifications, (maybe Joomla, and HTML) proficiency imperative.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Have knowledge of HTML code.
• Stay up to date on current trends and techniques about web development.
• Stay up to date on website development compatibility related the most relevant web browsers.
• Be able to design aesthetically pleasing and functional custom and templated websites.
• Be able to implement a content management system into a website.
• Stay up to date and be able to apply the most current search engine optimization techniques.
• Have an understanding and stay up to date on complimentary coding languages that run web applications and programs in a website.
• Maintain a comprehensive list of logins and passwords related to websites and complimentary web applications.
• Create website tutorials and be able to educate clients through hands-on tutorials for front end usage and updates.
• Be willing to professionally communicate with clients related to their website and Internet presence.
• Be willing to work with other individuals in a professional manner on projects when required.
• Maintain day-to-day functions of our Gilmore Marketing Concepts Inc. and our client’s websites and Internet presence.
• Familiar with using JavaScript, PHP or related coding languages.
• Create and maintain email accounts
• Set up and maintain web hosting
• Register and maintain domain names
• Maintain websites with updates and regular back ups
• WordPress security and organization best practices

Secondary responsibilities:

• Create videos and video graphics knowledge a plus.
• Setup and track Google Analytics in websites knowledge a plus.
• Setup and maintain Google AdWords campaigns knowledge a plus.
