Responsibilities:

• Flatten coils and reduce defects to fit customer needs.
• Remove paper or plastic from received coils, and interleaving paper or plastic with the finished coil.
• Properly label and tag identify all coils. 
• Responsible for the overall quality of each coil that is processed through the Tension Leveler.
• Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area. Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times. 
• Proper communication protocol with all manufacturing, quality and other operations staff to communicate and escalate product or equipment issues as needed. 
• Equipment operation to include, but not limited to: heavy machinery and forklift, along with general tools such as wrenches, tape measure, and hammers. 
• Participate in training and certification programs as needed. 
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment by removing scrap and other waste, checking machines, and identifying and correcting potential hazards. 
• Train new operators, if necessary.
• Properly use a micrometer.
• Visually inspect strip for proper quality.
• Cut samples for quality control.
• Assist supervisor/manager and other operators as needed

Pay: $17 - $20 Hour
