The community is invited to join the St. Patrick’s Day bash with Shawn McDonald and the McDonald Celtic Band in the Irish-themed Cellar Pub on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 3:00 to 5:00pm at the historic Atrium at Oak Crest, 204 S. State St. (Rte. 31) in Elgin.

The celebration marks the 18th anniversary of the popular traditional Cellar Pub.

The McDonald family has been sharing their love for Celtic music and dance across the Chicagoland area for over 15 years. In addition to traditional music, the band has branched out covering modern folk and some Rock tunes. The perfomances bring a layer of warmth, excitement, and Irish familiarity to St. Patrick’s Day functions and events any time of the year.

The Celtic Band is composed of bagpiper Shawn McDonald, his wife Lynn, Ian McDonald and and family-friend Carson Denny. The family resides in Sleepy Hollow and their twin daughters, Shanna and Brianna McDonald, reside in Dundee, Scotland.
