EPD’s First Bilingual Suicide Prevention Presentation and Community Event in collaboration with National Hispanic Suicide Prevention Network
Thursday, May 25, 2023 (5:30 PM - 8:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
HOPE AFTER THE DARKNESS
May is Mental Health Awareness month and we are joining the National Hispanic Suicide Prevention Network in a collaboration event which will provide our community with essential knowledge and resources, as we continue to promote suicide prevention. Focusing on suicide prevention becomes especially important to build social connections, raise awareness, and provide hope. Reaching out to loved ones for their mental health and wellbeing could be life-saving. Whether or not someone personally suffers with a mental health issue, our presentation will focus on helping people recognize the ways mental illness impacts their lives, educating people about available services, and will encourages community members to advocate for each other. Join us on Thursday, May 25th, at the Heritage Ballroom. Check in starts at 5:30pm.
