Donation Needs for ReStore Elgin & ReStore Arlington Heights

1. Furniture

• Sofas and Couches: Gently used, clean, and in good condition.
• Dining Tables and Chairs: Must be sturdy, with no significant damage.
• Dressers and Nightstands: Must be clean, with all drawers functioning.
• Beds and Mattresses: Mattresses must be clean and in good condition.
• Bookshelves and Cabinets: Must be clean, with no major damage.
• Office Furniture: Desks, chairs, and filing cabinets in good condition.
• Outdoor Furniture: Chairs, tables, and benches for patios or gardens.

2. Appliances

• Refrigerators: Must be clean and in working order.
• Washers and Dryers: Must be clean and fully functional.
• Microwaves: Must be clean and in working order.
• Stoves and Ovens: Must be clean and fully functional.
• Dishwashers: Must be clean and in working order.
• Small Appliances: Toasters, blenders, coffee makers, etc.

3. Building Materials

• Lumber and Wood: Unused or gently used wood for projects.
• Tools and Hardware: Hand tools, power tools, and building supplies.
• Paint: Unopened, in good condition, and not expired.
• Plumbing Fixtures: Sinks, faucets, and showerheads.
• Lighting Fixtures: Chandeliers, lamps, and lightbulbs.
• Cabinets and Countertops: In good condition, free from damage.

4. Home Décor

• Artwork and Pictures: In good condition, with frames or hangers.
• Rugs and Carpets: Clean and free from significant wear.
• Curtains and Blinds: Gently used and clean.
• Vases and Decorative Items: In good condition, clean.

5. Household Items

• Kitchenware: Pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.
• Bedding and Linens: Clean sheets, towels, and blankets.
• Storage Bins and Organizers: For home organization.
• Cleaning Supplies: New or gently used cleaning products.

6. Electronics

• TVs: Must be in working condition.
• Computers and Laptops: Must be in working condition.
• Printers and Scanners: Must be in working condition.
• Home Audio Systems: Clean and in working condition.

7. Seasonal Items

• Holiday Decorations: Clean and in good condition.
• Winter Gear: Coats, gloves, and scarves.
• Summer Gear: Lawn chairs, coolers, and pool items.

8. Young Families and Baby Items

• Baby Clothing: Gently used clothing for ages 12 months – 4T.
• Baby Gear: Cribs, high chairs, and strollers.
• Diapers and Baby Food: New, unopened items.

9. Volunteer Supplies

• Office Supplies: Paper, pens, and other office essentials.
• Craft Supplies: For workshops and events.

10. Miscellaneous

• Books: In good condition, all genres.
• Bicycles: In good, working condition.
• Sports Equipment: Clean and usable gear.

For Large Donations:

• Schedule a Regular Pick-Up or Drop-Off
• Request a Priority Pick-Up

Donations must be clean and in good condition. Please do not leave items outside when we are closed.
