The Elgin Public Museum of Natural History and Anthropology, often simply called the Elgin Public Museum, is a hidden gem located within the picturesque 108-acre Lords Park in Elgin, Illinois. Established in 1907 and formally opened in 1920, it holds the distinction of being the oldest museum building in Illinois still used for its original purpose.
