Welcome Lindsay Tintera, Chamber President & CEO
Following an extensive search, the Board selected Tintera for her proven leadership, passion for community engagement, and commitment to supporting businesses and economic growth throughout the Elgin area.
"Lindsay brings the leadership, experience, and strategic vision necessary to guide the Chamber in its mission of engaging with and advocating for its members," said Steve Migala, Chair of the Elgin Area Chamber Board of Directors. "We are excited to welcome her and look forward to the fresh perspective and commitment she will bring to this mission."
Tintera joins the Chamber with a strong marketing background, having previously served as Vice President of Marketing for a local insurance brokerage, where she built meaningful partnerships, led strategic initiatives, and championed organizational growth. She also serves as Board Chair of Shelter Youth & Family Services, demonstrating her deep commitment to community leadership and service. Her experience aligns with the Chamber's mission of connecting businesses, developing leaders, and advancing economic vitality across the region.

"The Chamber has a long-standing reputation for supporting businesses of every size and creating meaningful connections throughout the region. I look forward to working alongside our members, Board of Directors, community partners, and staff to build on that strong foundation and continue creating opportunities for growth and success."
Tintera succeeds Carol Gieske, who is retiring after 19 years leading the Chamber and an accomplished career dedicated to community and economic development. Under Gieske's leadership, the Chamber expanded member engagement, strengthened regional partnerships, enhanced workforce initiatives, and advanced economic development efforts through the Elgin Development Group.
"The Board extends its sincere appreciation to Carol for her extraordinary leadership and lasting contributions to the Chamber and the Elgin community," said Migala. "Her dedication has positioned the organization for continued success, and we are grateful for the strong foundation she leaves for our next leader. She will remain with us consulting part-time to assist in the transition."
