The Tiger Community cut the ribbon on a newly renovated and expanded Kimball Middle School, kicking off an exciting new chapter for students, employees and the Elgin community. Just a week earlier, a similar ceremony was held at Kenyon Woods Middle School in South Elgin. The newly expanded learning environments will welcome sixth graders for the first time this fall as School District U-46 transitions to a true middle school model. The buildings feature new classrooms, science labs and collaborative spaces. “But a beautiful building alone doesn't make a great school. Our students, employees, families, and the relationships we build together are what will bring these spaces to life,” said Kimball Principal Charlotte Coleman.
