Cavalcade Tour of Homes

Tour the Future of Construction!

Get inspired by what’s possible when innovative design, smart technology, and beautiful craftsmanship come together! This year, the Cavalcade Tour of Homes is featuring a home in our very own Green Freedom Smart Neighborhood, along with 18 other stunning homes crafted by some of Chicagoland’s top builders.

Step inside these remarkable homes to discover the latest design trends, architectural innovations, and state-of-the-art amenities. Along the way, you’ll also have the chance to meet the talented builders behind these homes and learn more about the vision, creativity, and craftsmanship that bring each one to life.

Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer, an architecture enthusiast, or simply looking for fresh ideas and inspiration for your own home, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Mark your calendar and join us September 18–20 and 25–27!

Friday and Saturday: 10:00 a.m.– 6:00 p.m.

Sunday: Noon- 5:00 p.m.

Tickets are just $20 and provide access to all 18 homes throughout both weekends. Even better, 40% of ticket proceeds will benefit Naperville Responds for Veterans and Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, helping fight homelessness and support local veterans.

Our amazing volunteers give their time, skills, and energy to help build homes and hope in our communities. Anticipated volunteer activities for September:

67 Genessee, Elgin – siding and drywall

213 Lakeshore Drive, Crystal Lake – drywall, painting, flooring, and trim

1120 Shuler St, Elgin – flooring, trim, and final cleaning

Green Freedom Subdivision, Aurora - flooring, constructing walls, tree planting, sod installation, countertops/cabinets, framing, installing doors/windows, and more!

September’s cooler weather makes it a great time to volunteer! Jobsite safety is always our top priority so remember to wear appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes, take breaks as needed and stay hydrated. Our jobsites are stocked with water bottles, sunscreen, and snacks, but you’re always welcome to bring your own supplies to stay comfortable throughout the day.

We look forward to seeing you on the jobsite! Stay safe!

Faith Leaders Tour Habitat Homes

Exploring New Partnership Opportunities:

Habitat for Humanity hosted 21 community leaders for a tour of our newly completed St. Charles home and Green Freedom, our innovative net-zero neighborhood in Aurora.

Attendees included pastors and church leaders from seven local churches as well as an Alderman and the Mayor of St. Charles. The event celebrated the work of the Potawatomie Church Partnership and the many volunteers whose dedication helped make homeownership possible for local families.

The gathering also sparked meaningful conversations about future collaboration, with several churches expressing interest in deeper involvement, particularly in supporting Habitat's hospitality efforts and ongoing ministry partnerships. We look forward to building on this momentum and expanding our impact together.
