In addition to the assisted lifestyle community, the Heritage Woods campus features two memory care communities: White Oaks at Heritage Woods of South Elgin and White Oaks at Spring Street. The assisted lifestyle community opened in the summer of 2009 and is managed by Gardant Management Solutions, the largest provider of affordable assisted living in Illinois A Wonderful Alternative Heritage Woods of South Elgin provides a wonderful residential alternative to a nursing home or to those struggling alone at home. Residents have the opportunity to: Live in a private apartment. Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom and emergency alert system. Receive personal assistance and help with medications. Certified staff are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
