A guest-choice food pantry serving low income residents of Illinois. All shoppers receive fresh produce, dairy, meat, bread and shelf-stable items. Our approach provides dignity and hope to people, often in difficult situations. Food for Greater Elgin is open five times every week, offering both day and evening shifts for our guests’ convenience. Households can shop for food once per week, may choose from a variety of products, and are assisted by volunteers during the shopping process.
