Management Training Skilled and Trades Planning Manufacturing Administrative, Support & Clerical

This is a lead position in the Quality & Training function and requires an individual with previous proven quality control inspection experience.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES    
  • Train all new employees in worker orientation and ISO standards as required.
  • Facilitate ISO meetings agenda – documents
  • In process inspection of piece parts at various phases of the manufacturing operation
  • Calibration of all quality control measuring tools
  • Preparation of accurate reports pertaining to production, quality, rejects, etc.
  • Assist with special projects pertaining to quality/inspection/training
  • Interprets conformance to customer’s quality requirements as defined by the purchase order, drawing, and other applicable specifications
  • Makes determination of necessary inspection points
  • Prepares written inspection procedures and instructions as required
  • Plans, develops, initiates, coordinates, and implements the most effective procedures for optimum quality assurance.
  • Maintains adequate quality records.
  • Develops, initiates, and follows up internal and customer requested corrective actions.
  • Implements and maintains a system for the calibration of all measuring and test equipment
  • Assures that inspection personnel are capable of rendering an unbiased decision to accept or reject.
  • Visually examines piece parts for defects as they are produced and uses all provided gauges to determine acceptability.
  • Performs in-process, final inspection or sorting as required.
  • Trains, new or temporary employees as requested.
  • Collects, retains, issues lot numbers, makes labels, and inputs data.
  • Promptly informs production of any defects or trends that could result in non-conforming parts
POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Capable of preparing accurate reports pertaining to quantity or quality of products
  • Able to perform supervisory duties on a temporary basis
  • Able to conduct or develop training programs pertaining to inspection or quality
  • High school graduate or equivalent, able to read, write. 
  • Able to accurately perform basic mathematics.
  • Previous experience with inspection equipment such as gauges, plugs, and micrometers helpful but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with all levels of employees.
  • Position is physically active requiring standing, lifting boxes up to 40 pounds in the production area and sorting parts on skids.
