Are you a positive and friendly individual who enjoys engaging with all types of people? Our Customer Relations Department may be the place for you! Our Main Library has a part-time opening for someone who has excellent communication & customer service skills.
Primary job duties include:
- Performs circulation services for library materials which includes check-in, check-out and renewing items, placing holds, registering new library cards, or updating and registering customers for library programs, services, or classes.
- Provides information to customers by answering questions and being proactive with offering assistance in a friendly and professional manner.
We are looking for someone who is:
- A real “people Person,” enthusiastic, caring, friendly, and empathetic.
- A team player who thinks quickly on their feet as decisions need to be made.
- A self-starter with the initiative and courage to propose new ideas.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
25 hours per week – combination of days, nights, and weekend hours.
Hourly Rate: $17.00 per hour + Enrollment in IMRF pension plan + prorated time-off benefits.
