Elgin Public Museum Director, Sharry Blazier presents a unique program examining the lives, loves, and music of four of the greatest female singer-songwriters of the 1970s: Janis Ian, Carole King, Carly Simon, and Joni Mitchell. Register

What are their backstories? How were their young lives influenced by the rapid social changes of the 60s-70s, and how did they influence their female fans in return? What gives a Joni song its distinct musical sound? Why was Janis a “has-been” at only 16? You’ll find out — and so much more.
