Music is a huge part of every culture's existence, and nothing reflects American culture more than rock and roll.
It is the music of our history, our ethnic struggles, our joy, our anger. It sees us through tough times, becomes the time capsules of the imagery of our youth, accompanies our love stories, and at its best, it empowers us!
On May 18th, we partner with the newly-opened School of Rock Elgin AT THE MUSEUM, to allow all ages to try out rock band instruments. This is a great opportunity for kids to get a feel for what they'd like to learn. Details:
