Free Thursday Night Summer Concerts in Elgin

Who says weekends get all the fun? This summer, your best plans might fall on a Thursday.

From June 4 through August 13, Elgin’s Concerts in the Park series is returning, and this year’s lineup covers a little bit of everything: funk, Latin rock, youth orchestra, The Beatles-inspired polka (yes, really), and even a silent disco with a unique, pick-your-own-tunes kind of experience!

We’ll be rotating between Wing Park Bandshell (1010 Wing St.) and the Pavilion at Lords Park (100 Oakwood Blvd.), so you’ve got two great spots to visit all summer long.

A few important details:

• Bring a blanket or lawn chair.
• Show up hungry (there will be food trucks onsite).
• Stay for the music, and if the mood hits, dance a little!
