Family Field Trip: Going into Hibernation with the Elgin Public Museum

Wednesday, August 14, 2024 (10:30 AM - 11:30 AM) (CDT)

Description

On Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., is Elgin Public Museum’s first Family Field Trip of the new school year, in which families can experience the education programs we present for schools (sorry, yellow school bus not included!).

This month’s topic is Going into Hibernation, in which we’ll discuss which animals do and don’t hibernate, and how reptiles and amphibians survive harsh winters in this area.

Admission is $2 per person; you can stay on into regular open hours of 12-4 at no extra charge. No registration is required. Recommended ages are 5-adult.
