Electronic Waste Recycling, Bulk Item Disposal and Secure Document Destruction Event

Time to clear out unwanted electronics, bulky items and old paperwork.  Elgin residents are invited to an electronic waste recycling, bulk item disposal and secure document destruction event from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at the City of Elgin Public Works facility, located at 1900 Holmes Road.  Entry for is $20 per vehicle, payable by credit card only. Cash is not accepted. Secure document shredding is free if it is your only service. An additional fee of $40 applies for large wood or metal television consoles.
