About

Founded in 1896, Volunteers of America of Illinois is one of the oldest affiliates within the Volunteers of America family. For more than a century Volunteers of America of Illinois has been working to improve the quality of life for people most in need throughout Illinois with a variety of services and programs designed to strengthen families, keep children safe and empower individuals to transform their lives. Volunteers of America of Illinois serves children in the child welfare services, Veterans who are struggling, in crisis or at-risk of serous instability in their lives, and provides affordable housing to the elderly and adults with disabilities. Each of our programs are strength-based, client-centered, relationship-driven, family-focused, and designed to help people achieve their full potential.  While Volunteers of America of Illinois serves a diverse group of individuals and families with a broad range of needs and challenges, the common goal of ALL our services is to partner with the people we serve to dramatically improve the quality of life in a way that represents a transformational and lasting change for the individual client and their family.
