Elgin's crime stats at 46-year low: The Elgin Police Department recently released the 2017 crime statistics that affirmed that Elgin's crime is at a 46-year low. Kudos to City of Elgin crews: After an unexpectedly powerful microburst ravaged several parts of Elgin in late July, the city of Elgin's responsive teams jumped into action.
