The Elgin Development Groups Workforce Development Committee consists of volunteers from organizations such as the Kane County Workforce Division, City of Elgin, Illinois Department of Employment Security, Elgin Community College, Judson University, U-46, CUSD301, Elgin Sweeper, Harting, John B. Sanfilippo, Middleby, and many others. The group over the years has exchanged ideas, implemented workforce programs, organized job fairs, created jobs, found people jobs, supported each other through COVID-19, and lifted Elgin’s economy. Committee members that have been involved in developing strategies have found their participation to be beneficial.
