Alignment Collaborative for Education (ACE) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to align community resources for the U-46 school district in support of public school strategies to raise student achievement, improve the health and happiness of children, create responsible, productive and contributing members of society, and advance the economic and social well-being of the U-46 school community.
Position Summary: ACE is seeking an energetic and flexible individual who can provide efficient and professional administrative support to the Executive Director and the Governing Board, as well as other team members and volunteers.  Candidate must have an appreciation for working within a diverse community.  
 Essential Job Functions:
  • Assist with recruitment of volunteers and maintain contact lists for Governing Board, Operating Board, and all A-Teams.
  • Maintain ACE portal database to ensure all ACE board members and teams have the necessary access required to manage tactical plans.
  • Manage the ACE meeting calendar and communications with community stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication with Executive Director, Governing Board, Operating Board, and A-Teams to provide them first-level administrative support for their activities, including generating meeting agendas, preparing meeting minutes and notes, and disseminating community wide communications.
  • Assist in development of team implementation plans, assessments, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Maintain and archive management plans (timelines, milestones, etc.) for team work utilizing the ACE portal database.
  • Train and provide technical assistance to team members on ACE website and other technical tools.
  • Assist with financial reports as required.  Experience in QuickBooks a plus.
  • Prepare invoices and financial statements as directed.
  • Coordinate any other activities as determined by the Executive Director to assist with ACE operations.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience using QuickBooks to assist with budget management and donor contributions.
  • Experience in working with website and social media communications.
  • Strong understanding of the structure and content of the English language.
  • Efficient organization, project management, and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to manage expectations and deliver results required.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple, simultaneous, and complex projects with an acute attention to detail.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. An associate’s degree with administrative experience or a bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Experience in a non-profit organization coordinating an extensive number of volunteers is a plus.
