Job Overview:
Centro de Información is seeking a passionate and experienced Finance Manager to lead all financial operations and ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the organization’s mission by providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and implementing sound financial practices.

Duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting, payment and invoicing cycles, including financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, budgeting, and grant invoicing.
  • Manage and supervise the accounting staff, providing training and guidance, and maintain relationship with bookkeeping vendor to assure all tasks are completed accurately by monthly deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, for the board of directors, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and manage the annual budget, collaborating with Executive Director and program directors to procure realistic and achievable budget projections. Compare actual results versus budget monthly and provide insights to Executive Director.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, assess financial risks, and provide insights to support informed executive decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard financial assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Liaise with auditors during the annual audit process and/or grant funder auditors as requested.
  • Stay updated on relevant non-profit accounting laws, best practices and regulations.
  • Participate in the organization’s strategic planning activities and contribute to the organization's long-term financial sustainability.
  • Foster a culture of financial responsibility and transparency within the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a finance role preferably within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and accounting operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online).
  • Commitment to Centro de Información's mission and values.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a strong plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
