  • Share:
Name: Philanthropy Day
Date: September 20, 2017
Time: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM CDT
Event Description:

National Philanthropy Day is a registered trademark of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and it is a worldwide celebration of philanthropy -- giving, volunteering and charitable engagement. In the Fox River Valley of Illinois, Fox West Philanthropy Network (FWPN) joins in the global celebration by hosting a day long conference featuring training opportunities, panel discussions and an awards luncheon.
This event highlights the impact philanthropy has on our communities. This day-long event features industry thought leaders from the local area and around the country. Our morning keynote presenter is Eric Weinheimer, President and CEO of Forefront Chicago will be speaking about how to survive in this constant craziness that is the nonprofit world lately, especially in Illinois. An additional morning breakout session allows attendees to choose one of 4 tracks related to #GivingTuesday/#ILGive, storytelling, organization development, or their careers. Our luncheon will celebrate leaders in philanthropy and award the Philanthropy Day Award to an adult and a youth who are positively impacting their community. The afternoon offers more education and training sessions to choose from, as well as a networking session to close the day.
We are very excited about this year’s event, and we hope you can join us!
