4th of July Parade Information
The parade, held on Tuesday, July 4, begins at the intersection of Slade Street and Douglas Avenue. The event kicks off with a "Pooch Parade" at 8:40 a.m., followed by the National Anthem at 9 a.m. From the Slade and Douglas intersection, the route continues south on Douglas Avenue through the heart of downtown to Highland Avenue.
In conjunction with the Gail Borden Library's 

Dinosaur Giants: an Exhibit from the Sereno Fossil Lab, this year's parade theme is "Prehistoric Creatures." Participants are encouraged to decorate floats or wear costumes resembling prehistoric dinosaurs, birds and reptiles.
