SUMMARY:Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Elgin To Host 25th Anniversary Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony.\nThe City of Elgin will observe Patriot Day and mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11\, 2001\, terrorist attacks with a remembrance ceremony at 9 a.m. Friday\, Sept. 11\, on the west-side steps of Elgin City Hall\, 150 Dexter Court.\n\nThe program will feature remarks from Mayor Kaptain\, Fire Chief Robb Cagann\, Police Chief Ana Lalley\, and American Legion Post 57 Commander Jason Shanahan.\n\nPolice Chaplain Al Keating will offer the opening prayer\, and Fire Chaplain Roger Pollock will offer the closing prayer.\n\nHonor guards from the Elgin Fire Department and Elgin Police Department will post and retire the colors during the ceremony.\n\nVocalists from Larkin High School will perform the National Anthem.\n\nThe community is encouraged to attend this commemorative observance and join together in remembrance.
