Elgin commissions two new public art pieces: Pending final approval by City Council (at press date), the City of Elgin will set aside $15,000 of its 2017 budget to commission two new public art pieces in downtown Elgin this fall. Sustainability Honor Roll adds Friends of the Fox: Mayor David Kaptain honored Friends of the Fox River and its president, Gary Swick, with the biannual Sustainability Honor Roll award at at the city's sustainability commission meeting on October 11.
